Dominic Storey started in the #63 Mercedes-AMG GT3 in position 15 and after an excellent drive he hands over to Peter on lap 21 in 6th. After a rapid refuel the number 63 Mercedes-AMG GT3 rejoins in 19th.

After an action packed 46 laps, Peter comes back to the pits on lap 67 and hands the car over to Dominic in 3rd, after an excellent double stint including several laps of fuel saving. Dominic rejoined with four new tyres and a full tank of fuel in 8th.

The closing laps of the race were increasingly exciting with Shane Van Gisbergen closing and eventually passing Dominic for second. The two New Zealand born drivers swapping fastest lap times and sectors right until the chequered flag.

Finishing a season best, the #63 Mercedes-AMG GT3 has shown its pace and is sure to be a star of the 2016 Australian GT Championship.

"I couldn't be happier, the car and everybody attached to it performed without fault. Dom drove like a champion and the car was incredibly consistent; tyre life, fuel economy and reliability from the AMG-GT3 along with a great team effort are what created this result. We're very excited about the rest of the season." said an elated Peter.

The next round of the Australian GT Championship Endurance Series is at Sydney Motorsports Park on August 26-28.
